Mmmmm Pocky……
Uh anyways yeah So ConnectiCon was really awesome. Maybe the best year yet. I feel like we did more this year than we did in past years. I got to do a lot of Panels, See some screenings, Play a game or two, Meet new friends & network with people, Promote Millionaire Geeks, and still had time to go through the Artist Colony & Dealer Rooms.
Friday Jen and I left her apartment picked up our friend Heather and Drove to the Hartford convention center. We got there and there were ALOT of people there already. It’s amazing really how much the con has grown in just a few short years. Thankfully we had bought out tickets in advance so we got into the preregistered line which was much shorter. Heres a shot from in line showing all the people trying to sign in.

So I won’t bore you with a Blow by blow but I did alot at the con. Friday Night I went to a Q&A Panel with Robert Picardo (the Doctor) and Ethan Phillips (Neelix) From Star Trek Voyager. It was really Great the two of them together are Hilarious and it was a really great insight into their experiences on the show. Saturday I went to their table and got autographed photos of them and one of Robert for my mom (the doctor is her favorite Star Trek Character). On Saturday Night Jen and I went to see them perform a Play they wrote called “House Call” in which they reprise their characters from voyager. It was incredibly funny and well worth going to the con just for that. If you ever get to go to a con where they’re performing it, GO SEE THE PLAY! After the Play I was able to get a Picture with each of them

You can see how excited I was
It was really a great experience to meet them and get to see them perform together again.
I don’t have any pics of it to show you but on Saturday I went to a panel called “Intro To Shamanism” and another Panel called “Wyrd Science into the toy Chest”. Both panels were done by a very interesting man named Sean Kane. He’s a Self Described Shaman, a practitioner of Reiki, and Metaphysical Inventor. He’s a very interesting and Intelligent man. Depending on your Point of View and the Openness of your mind he’s either a crackpot Hippy or a Wise Mystic and Shaman. I won’t tell you which to believe but I found his views very interesting. It’s always interesting to hear from someone else how they view the metaphysical. Also His Panels became very good discussions (involving almost everyone in attendance) about the nature of reality and the synthetic separation between Science, Religion, & the Supernatural/Metaphysical. All In all two hours very well spent.
I also found time to attend several other panels, Play a few games during open play in the video game room, and sat in on a few screenings. The most interesting of which were the first half hour of the movie “Seven Samurai” (always a favorite of mine), and part of the Godzilla Marathon.
During my time not doing the above Dave and I went around the Artist Colony Shopping, Making friends, and networking. I bought a few cool things (which I may try to post pics of later) Including some cool prints. We also Talked to a few friends Including the Amazingly Talented Proprietor of So & Sew Plushies Who despite many personal disasters this past year and the loss of her partner in crime managed to Make it to the con and have Plushies to sell to us geeks. She is truly amazingly talented and you should check out her page and consider commissioning a plushie. Though she is a bit backed up right now so be willing to wait (trust me it’s well worth the wait). While we were networking and chatting people up we were hading out Buttons and Flyers promoting Millionaire Geeks. Heres a Pic of the Flyer if you’re interested.

Check out our site if you have a chance. We Teach Geeks how to make money using what they know and doing what they love. We also teach how to use the internet for other business opportunities and Internet marketing.

However I’ll post more cool Pics on the Millionaire Geeks Blog and maybe a few more on here as well sometime tomorrow. So Lets wrap things up now.
